About

One of the things I’ve learned over time is that it’s not important how much I achieve in life. What is important is achieving balance. I’m a big believer of  – "Control of our internal environment is infinitely more important than all the possible triumphs we may be able to score over external environment." When my inner life was in turmoil, my life was in chaos. Once I began experiencing moments of calm and peace, I was able to achieve my goals more easily.

On Balance
For me learning balance is a work in progress. I’ve learned that emotions are like a team, but that team has to be guided by a realistic view of my limitations that allows for less than perfection. I started this journey feeling isolated, filled with anger, fear and self-disgust. I found a way of life that brought me from a place of self-stigma to self-acceptance, and through a set of simple tools to change my thoughts and my behaviors. The outcome was not everlasting joy, but acceptance that my life is filled with disappointments and failures as well as joy and achievement, and that’s ok.
